- Bhuvaha = Antariksha-Loka (Astral Plane)
- Swaha = Svarga=Loka (Celestial Plane)
- Tat = That Transcendent, Paramatma
- Savitur = Ishvara or Creator
- Varenyam = Fit to be worshipped or adored
- Bhargaha = Remover of Sins and Ignorance; Glory Effulgence.
- Devasya = Resplendent; shining
- Deemahi = I meditate
- Dhiyah = Buddhis, intellects, understandings
- Yah = Which, Who
- Nah = Our
